THE FOUR PHASES

  • I. MOVEMENT TO KABUL

    Guidance for evacuees headed to the airport.
    If you are helping others to get into the airport tell them to pack one small backpack for each person and have the following items in each backpack:

    Snacks/food
    bottled water
    small blanket
    hairbrush
    toothbrush
    flashlight
    cellphone
    cellphone charge cord
    cellphone battery pack
    jacket
    change of clothes
    Tampons/feminine products, enough for 1 week (women)
    3-4 days of diapers (if you have small children)
    Prescription medication

  • II. ENTERING THE AIRPORT AND CLEARANCE

    What docs you need to get into the Airport:
    Some sort of Identification, ideally passport and VISA. If not, Afghan ID
    Do not carry hard copy of SIV packet

  • III. FLIGHTS AND TRANSIT

    For those interested in helping our military members and Afghan evacuees, the Commander of the C-17 Squadron at Al Udeid (Qatar) and the Chaplain are asking for items that you can send through Amazon Prime. Below are the details:

    What we currently need:
    - Travel-sized toothbrushes
    - Travel-sized toothpaste
    - Kid-size snacks (no meat or beef jerky please)
    - Small teddy bear type toys for children
    - Lightweight, compact blankets (throw-sized)

  • IV. RESETTLEMENT

    This is a non-exhaustive, living informational document on organizations and efforts on resettlement and welcoming of Afghan allies, SIVs, and refugees in the United States including but limited to volunteer opportunities such as airport pick-ups, advocacy, and donations of goods.
